Development of the improved exome sequencing method to achieve true whole exome sequencing

It is now possible to identify responsible genes for hereditary disorders at relatively low cost using exome sequencing. RNA coding regions are captured by hybridizing genomic DNA to probes (baits) and these enriched exon regions are then sequenced using next-generation DNA sequencer.

However,the present exome sequencing method showed lower coverage in sequencing regions with high GC content. In this project,we will develop the improved exome sequencing method to achieve true whole exome sequencing.
